According to official records from New York State Police, troopers assigned to the Poland station are investigating an incident categorized as “Assault - simple” that was reported at approximately 9:23 PM on May 4, 2026, in the Village of Newport.

Authorities state that Michael T. Anderson, 19, of Poland, New York, was arrested on May 6, 2026, at approximately 2:21 PM in the Town of Russia.

Official paperwork reviewed by TVOTT Hillbilly News lists the following charge:

  • Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree
  • NYS Penal Law 145.05(02)
  • Class E Felony

The law description in the records states the charge relates to alleged damage to another person’s property exceeding $250.
