UTICA, N.Y. β Residents along Genesee Street likely noticed a major law enforcement presence Wednesday as New York State Police and multiple specialized units carried out a search warrant inside an apartment building in the City of Utica. According to authorities, the operation led to the seizure of dangerous narcotics and the arrest of a local woman now facing felony charges.
Police say the search warrant was executed on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 1431 Genesee Street, Apartment 507 by members of the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), the Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit - North, along with uniformed state police members.
According to New York State Police, investigators allegedly recovered more than 1Β½ ounces of crystal methamphetamine, approximately 1/8 ounce of fentanyl, a quantity of cocaine, along with what authorities described as a cutting agent, drug packaging materials, a scale, and a drug ledger.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested Rebecca A. Kulikowski, 54, of Utica. She has been charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree β Intent to Sell (Class B Felony)
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree β Weight Greater Than Β½ Ounce (Class C Felony)
Kulikowski was transported to the Oneida County Jail where she awaited centralized arraignment.
