According to public fundraiser materials, Facebook event pages, public statements, and messages sent to TVOTT Hillbilly News, questions are being raised surrounding the “Benefit for Rebecca Sweet” fundraiser held on October 12, 2025, at the Dolgeville Rod and Gun Club.

Flyers reviewed by TVOTT Hillbilly News stated that Rebecca Sweet was reportedly “undergoing treatment for Stage 4 metastatic pelvic cancer” and unable to work. The event reportedly included raffles, food, drawings, and community donations.

The public event page reviewed by TVOTT Hillbilly News listed multiple individuals connected to the fundraiser as hosts or organizers.

Over the last several days, TVOTT Hillbilly News has received multiple messages, screenshots, and statements from community members questioning claims connected to the fundraiser and asking for clarification regarding the reported diagnosis.

A public family statement sent to TVOTT Hillbilly News stated that relatives organized the benefit after they believed Rebecca Sweet had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The statement further said that information had recently surfaced indicating she “may not have terminal cancer” and that the family is continuing to seek answers and clarity regarding the situation.

Rebecca Sweet also publicly posted statements online claiming she believed she had cancer following scans and medical testing, but later alleged doctors informed her that spots found on her bones were connected to multiple sclerosis rather than bone cancer. Her public statements also referenced ongoing medical care, mental health struggles, and emotional distress tied to the situation.

At this time, TVOTT Hillbilly News has not independently verified the medical diagnoses, medical records, or allegations currently being discussed online.
