People in the Town of Madison were left shaken after emergency responders rushed to a residence on Maple Avenue following reports of a fight in progress late Monday.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to 3333 Maple Avenue in the Town of Madison on May 26, 2026, at approximately 11:50 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. While en route, Troopers were advised that the suspects had reportedly fled the scene in a white Jeep SUV. Police say the vehicle was later located nearby and stopped.

Investigators say several individuals had responded to the residence regarding an ongoing dispute. During the incident, police allege that multiple individuals attempted to force entry into the home, leading to a physical altercation involving several people.

State Police say Jake M. Becraft, 19, of Oneida, allegedly struck one of the victims in the head with an object, causing injury.

Several individuals reportedly sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for evaluation.

Authorities charged Arianna R. Montoya, 19, of Westmoreland, with:

  • Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C Felony)
  • Assault in the Third Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor)

Authorities charged Jake M. Becraft, 19, of Oneida, with:

  • Assault in the Second Degree (Class D Felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)

Both were transported to the Madison County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
